What are Disposable Vapes?

Disposable vapes—sometimes referred to as puff bars, vape pens, or simply disposables—are a convenient and maintenance-free option for vapers who don’t want the hassle of a refillable vape kit. Most UK disposable vapes come pre-charged and pre-filled with 2ml of nicotine salt e-liquid, though some of the newer big puff disposable vapes on the market can offer more puffs, a rechargeable battery, less e-waste, and more value for money!

These single-use devices are not refillable, and standard 600 puff disposables can’t be recharged.

Prefilled with E-Liquid

Disposable vapes come prefilled with nic salt E-Liquid, providing a quick nicotine fix and a smooth throat hit. They generally can’t be refilled.

Pre-Charged Battery

How long do disposable vapes last?

Time isn’t the best way to measure the lifespan of a vape, since everyone vapes differently. The length of your puffs and how often you vape are big factors in how long your vape will last.

For most people, though, a standard 600 puff 2ml disposable will last between 1 to 2 days with regular use. However, if you take longer puffs or if you vape more frequently, you’ll likely get less time out of your device.

How many puffs are in a disposable vape?

A standard 2ml disposable vape can provide up to 600 puffs, though big puff disposable vapes can offer a lot more puffs (and value for money).

Big puff vapes, which get around the TPD regulations by utilising unique designs, attachable e-liquid bottles, and some user assembly to reduce battery and plastic waste, are able to offer up to 2400 puffs, 3500 puffs, 5500 puffs, or even 6000 puffs.

The maximum puff count for any disposable vape pen will be stated in the product description, but it’s important to remember that the puff counts for all devices are machine-measured—so, the actual puff count will depend on how you vape.

The longer and more frequent your puffs are, the fewer puffs you’ll get out of your disposable.

The machines used to measure puff counts typically take very short puffs (under a second) with a restricted MTL inhale. The companies then take the maximum number these machines were able to produce and round it up to the nearest hundred to get their advertised maximum puff count.

For this reason, advertised puff counts on disposable vape kits are approximate and not guaranteed.
